Today we visited Tamura Farm, which grows…
A Peep at a Veterinary Center
This time we visited Azabu University, one of the largest veterinary schools in Japan in terms of resources for animal health, with state-of-the-art research facilities.
The university’s Large Animal Veterinary Educational Center of Azabu University in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture is spacious, providing plenty of room to treat animals with health challenges, and is full of state-of-the-art equipment, with rooms dedicated to X-rays and surgery. Students also come here for practical training and taking care of the animals.
At the center we became friends with a beautiful horse who is under treatment. He was very sociable and let us touch him at the very first time. Hope that he will get well soon!
The staffs introduce us around and we are truly impressed with everything here, especially the surgery room which is equipped with a hydraulic operating table and a large monitor to allow for multi-angle surgeries. A pair of Kito synchronized electric chain hoists gently transports the animal to the operating room. The crane makes treatment safe for both the veterinarians and the animals.
The university’s Large Animal Veterinary Educational Center is easily accessible to local dairy farmers for the kind of first-class treatment on which the entire community depends. In addition to treatment, research on animal breeding, artificial insemination, and healing effects is also being conducted. What we saw today makes us feel proud to think that Kito products are playing a role in treating animals in such a fine facility.
