for Energy Savings and Eco-Friendly Manufacturing
Bundoora, Victoria, May 30 — Kito PWB, the Australian subsidiary of industrial hoist and crane maker Kito Corporation (head office: Yamanashi Prefecture; president: Yoshio Kito), has installed 885 solar panels at its plant to reduce the use of energy from fossil fuels and overall energy cost. The company projects that in supplying supplemental energy to the production facility, the solar panels will reduce annual use of grid energy by 365 megawatt hours and greenhouse gas emissions by about 429 tonnes, while reducing energy cost by 20% and mitigating environmental impact.
Since its founding in 1932, Kito has been a leading manufacturer of material-handling equipment, supplying safe, high-quality products and detailed services to customers in a wide variety of industries.
Kito PWB (www.kitopwb.com.au) joined the Kito group in 2016. It produces chain related products at its facility in Bundoora, Victoria and sells Kito products via its strong sales network across Australia.
